16 Dreams: A Nostalgic Celebration in 3D Design 2022
16 Dreams is a playful yet intentional 3D logo design that captures the sentimentality and excitement of turning sixteen. Inspired by birthday cakes and celebration rituals, the design blends typography, materiality, and lighting to evoke nostalgia and joy.
The numbers "16" are sculpted as melting candles, symbolizing fleeting youth and the anticipation of new beginnings. Wax drips and glowing flames add realism, reinforcing the theme of a birthday wish in progress. The text below mimics soft frosting, creating an almost edible aesthetic that enhances the sense of warmth and nostalgia.
A strategic pastel color palette enhances the dreamlike quality—soft pinks, purples, and scattered sprinkles reference childhood birthday cakes, evoking a feeling of sweetness and sentimentality. The glossy finish reflects the polished, heightened emotions of milestone celebrations.
Designed and rendered in Blender, this project demonstrates a balance between playful branding and technical execution, using advanced texturing, lighting, and material design to create a visually engaging identity suitable for branding or celebratory event visuals.
